15.1 hand black Tennessee Walking
Horse stallion. He was a son of Bum's Storm Cloud; a
grand son of Delight Bumin Around and Prides Ultra
Threat. His pedigree went back to Sun's Delight D.
twice and also included Merry Go Boy and Triple
Threat.
The Ultimate Bum was purchased from Lynn Henschell Stables in Michigan. He was black
and beautiful, with exceptional conformation and plenty of natural ability.
He was a product of the late J. Mac Carter’s
breeding program. J. Mac Carter was a well-known, prominent breeder from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Mr. Carter bred such horses as the 1973 World Grand Champion,
Delight Bumin Around.
We had been looking for a shorter stallion to use on our daughters of Slush Creeks Jubal S. We had the tall horses but not everyone wanted tall so we began to search for a stallion that might help us get some shorter horses without sacrificing gait or disposition. The Ultimate Bum was the TWHBEA Regional Futurity Premier Stallion in 1998. We were very pleased with the foals we got from
The Ultimate Bum and were deeply saddened when we lost him very unexpectedly to a kidney tumor in April of 2008.
